This place is on the coast of Cambodia, one of the countries best beaches, according to the Lonely Planet, so lets see how that goes! To be honest the places to stay, and beaches to see were obviously out of date. It is a fairly new town, and is moving forward really fast. First place we had dinner was a cafe/bookshop. Really neat place and claims over 60 languages!
The road leading to the beach is an easy one, but the lane you walk down is clay that floods when it rains, various animal bits, and rubbish. But the beach is lovely, our breakfast place was great, but many many people trying to sell!
Our first day was raining, but here in Serendipity beach in the sun!
This guy tried to sell, we said no thanks. Which he was fine with, but he stayed and chatted while we waited for breakfast, when it came he asked for our favourite colour and he would make a bracelet of friendship. we said no, but off he went to the side. We decided we would give him something for the bracelet as he had been so nice. He came back with his gift, and when I tried to give him money he said no! That has not happened to us yet….we insisted anyway, but what a nice feel good moment. I also made him take a photo with me! The middle of town had the coolest statue, mum and dad lion. Next photo is the bungalow we stayed in.
This is the bar we watched the All Blacks beat Argentina, note the All Black jersey on the wall by the tv screen in the first photo. The third photo is the view from the garden bar!
The following photo is an interesting truck carrying garden pots, last photo was our 6 hour taxi to next town, at one point there was 7 of us!
